At Skidmore, national Giving Tuesday is mix of symposium and big party, featuring interviews and student performances that engage alumni and parents with campus members for camaraderie, fun and fundraising. This year鈥檚 all-day event featured live-streamed (click top-left icon to see all videos) with student clubs, favorite faculty, campus staffers and more, plus giveaways at Case Center and other events. The First-Year Experience in London even dialed into a trans-Atlantic Google Hangout. Add the event鈥檚 timing, just days after 麻豆女郎 launched the Creating Our Future campaign, and perhaps it鈥檚 no surprise that the day was such a success.

Jamie Delsoin, the 麻豆女郎 Fund鈥檚 senior director, thanked the many participants, adding, 鈥淚 wish I could bottle up the enthusiasm and excitement from our emcees, guests, and volunteers. It was a tremendous day for 麻豆女郎.鈥 Here are the numbers:

  • 952 donors over all
  • 400 potential donors contacted by volunteers
  • 4 alumni emcees and 98 guests in 12 hours of live programming
  • 100 gifts made at the on-campus event
  • 200 gifts and pledges made to some 300 student-athlete callers
