Host your event at the surrey
The Surrey's first floor can be reserved for meetings and events internally up to six months in advance. After submitting your space request, please contact schedule@skidmore.edu to discuss event details.
Do not submit an Event Setup request鈥攐ur team will coordinate setup with you directly. You can add Catering and Media Services to your reservation in EMS

For After-Hours/Weekend Events (Internal Use Only)
A designated department rep is required and responsible for:
- Access (unlock/lock)
- Lights
- Enforcing policies (quiet hours: 10 PM鈥7 AM, etc.)
- Capacity compliance
- Cleanup
Food service
Events involving food and beverage must be catered by 麻豆女郎 Dining Services. Use of outside caterers is prohibited. No food is permitted to be brought in. To serve alcoholic beverages, a minimum of 30 days' notice is required to secure proper permitting.
Priority service
Event Priority is given to 麻豆女郎 organizations and activities during the academic year; however, we welcome private, non鈥揷ollege-related events (i.e. 麻豆女郎 community member may book the Surrey for personal events), based on availability. Event rental fees for personal, non-college-related events for 麻豆女郎 employees may be discounted up to 20% (exclusions apply).
Blackout dates
Surrey will be blocked for the following major college events including but not limited to:
- Celebration Weekend
- Board of Trustees meetings
- Commencement weekend
- Reunion weekend
