With nearly 100 clubs to join, 40+ majors and minors to study, hundreds of faculty members to learn from and 2,700 students to befriend, there are a lot of stories to tell at Skidmore.
Azizul Hakim ’26, who grew up with gridlock in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is now applying artificial intelligence to rethink how traffic flows in upstate New York. The computer science major collaborated with Â鶹ŮÀÉ Assistant Professor of Computer Science Wenlu Du on a summer research project that used state-of-the-art reinforcement learning algorithms to optimize traffic signal timing.
