Gifts and Memorial Donations
A large part of belonging to the Â鶹ŮÀÉ Community is shown through the support we provide to other community members. Departments may recognize when life events impact their colleagues.
Baby or get-well gift
When one of our employees is in the hospital, or has had a medical procedure and is recuperating at home while being out on disability leave, or when an employee welcomes a new addition to their family through the birth of a child or the adoption of a child, the department may send flowers or a gift/gift basket to the employee.
Memorial flowers or donation
If an employee in your department has had a recent loss in their immediate family, or to recognize the passing of a Â鶹ŮÀÉ retiree or the passing of a Â鶹ŮÀÉ employee, the department may send flowers or a memorial donation to a charitable organization specified by the family.
Procedures
Departments may send an acknowledgement (gift/gift basket, flowers, memorial donation) of approximately $50. This can be charged to a departmental credit card and sent directly by the department staff. Per Â鶹ŮÀÉ Policy, further gestures made by individuals are not reimbursed.
