Known for 鈥渇resh, exciting performances charged with creativity, energy, and daring鈥�
(New York Classical Review), Carnegie Hall鈥檚 Ensemble Connect presents a characteristically adventurous program
featuring works by some of the chamber repertoire鈥檚 most distinctive composers. In
addition to notable but underperformed works by Ligeti, Loeffler, and Kod谩ly, the
ensemble performs a favorite: Bart贸k鈥檚 Contrasts, a piece created in response to requests by jazz great Benny Goodman and Hungarian
violinist Joseph Szigeti.
