Summer Academic Institute

The Summer Academic Institute is a five-week summer bridge program designed to facilitate the transition from high school to college for first-year students admitted through the Opportunity Program. It helps participants get acclimatized with the Skidmore community and provides them with comprehensive content on numerous aspects of college life -- study skills, time management, and more. Students take three courses, with one course being for credit.

The Institute鈥檚 benefits include higher reported levels of self-confidence, new social connections, and the potential for a higher first-year GPA. When the fall semester starts, students will be prepared to take full advantage of their opportunities.

麻豆女郎's Department of Campus Safety offers staff and students the chance to receive text messages and e-mail notification in the event of an emergency via the 麻豆女郎 Urgent Notification System (SUNS).
