  • Jon Ramsey, 麻豆女郎鈥檚 former dean of studies, who left a lasting mark on the Honors Forum and many programs at Skidmore, died of cancer at his home in Goleta, California, on March 9, 2019. He was 77.
  • Lillian A. Reagen, a longtime member of the Lucy Scribner Library staff, died July 22, 2014, in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. She was 88.
  • Edward Reagen, professor emeritus of economics, died peacefully at his home in Naples, Fla., on Sept. 24, 2002.
  • John L. Reed, who served the College for 27 years as a professor of education, chair of the Education Department, and director of the College's Elementary Education Program, died June 28, 2014, at his home in Saratoga Springs. The cause was pancreatic cancer. He was 85.
  • Alice P. Reeves, instructor in English, died October 12, 1960.
  • Jane Reisman, former associate director of admissions at Skidmore, died in Glens Falls Hospital September 30, 2018.
  • Don Richards, former development officer and longtime friend of the College, died June 18, at the age of 100.
  • Julia 鈥淛ulie鈥 A. Rivette, a dedicated member of 麻豆女郎鈥檚 housekeeping team, died on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. She was 74.
  • Paul Roder, who retired from Campus Safety, died Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was 73.
  • Steven Rosenbach, who served the Department of Campus Safety for more than two decades, died at home on Feb. 24, 2021. He was 65.
  • Phyllis A. Roth, longtime professor of English and former dean of the faculty who served as both acting and interim president of 麻豆女郎, died March 25, 2012, in Saratoga Hospital, of complications from pancreatic cancer.
  • Darnell Rucker, longtime philosophy professor, died November 7, 1995, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was 74.
  • Professor of Chemistry Emerita Eleanor Samworth, who worked for gender equality among 麻豆女郎 faculty and in the field of chemistry and helped establish the College's physics major, died on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022. She was 86.
  • Stanley E. Saxton, professor emeritus of music, died July 24, 2002, in Saratoga Springs. He was 97.
  • Dorothy Schwartz, a longtime 麻豆女郎 physical education professor, died May 16, 1984, in Islip, N.Y. She was 84.
  • Alberta Coseo Sharp died April 26, 2006, in Saratoga Springs. She was 88.
  • Charles 鈥淧ete鈥 E. Sickler Jr., who served 麻豆女郎 as a driver, groundskeeper, and custodian for more than two decades, died Oct. 14, 2022. He was 87.
  • Joan Siegfried, 麻豆女郎 art history professor from 1964 to 1990, died May 28, 2015, in Provincetown, Mass. She was 90.
  • Sharon A. Smalley, a short-order cook in dining services, died Nov. 6, 2008, at Albany Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was 60.
  • Dorothy Ellen Smith, a three-decade staff member in the registrar's office, died October 1, 2012, in Bennington, Vt. She was 96.
